One morning, we saw two male lions with one lioness on a kill!
Over the past few months, we have been serenaded by the melodic symphony of roaring lions and leopards and regular encounters with the resident African wild dog pack of 4 Rivers left us in awe.
Aquatic giants, the hippos, kept us entertained just a stone’s throw away from the perennial channel, which runs just metres away from the camp.

Bat-eared foxes, roan antelopes, tsessebe, steenbok, herds of wildebeest and buffalos, zebras, elephants, kudus, giraffes and warthogs — to mention — have been logged during our exploration drives. As nature fanatics, we loved the open floodplains harbouring high-canopied mangosteen trees, sausage trees, and strangler fig islands.
Moreover, the mopane woodland sunsets are equally and colourfully amazing!
(Please note: For the safety of the animals, we do not disclose the location of either rhino or pangolin sightings. Accompanying pictures are from our Kwando Photo Library which consists of all your great photo submissions over the years, it may not be the most up to date, but we felt it was worthy of a feature alongside this month’s Sightings Report!)
